’tis the sesson to juice! Winter is season for citrus so why not take advantage and make some delicious juice boosts to shake off those cold before they start! Juicers are brill if your lucky to have one but you can use your hand just as well!!!
Here are some lovely recipes which have gone down a treat in our house.
(I always try to use organic fruit and veg where possible if my monthly budget allows!)
My two boys are into action figures so I have named some after them which they love, but you can make your own names up!
The Green Goblin:
2 organic kiwi fruits
2organic pears
and a squeeze of lemon juice
Spiderman’s Web Blaster:
1 large organic beetroot
2 organic eating apples
The Hulks Muscle Maker:
2 organic pears
lots of ginger
a dollop of natural yogurt
Irons Mans Power Fuel
3 organic carrots
2 blood oranges
pinch of mixed spice or ginger and cinnamon.
The best part about serving these are they are delicious! They are rich in vitamins and minerals and are particularly good to boost your childs immune system, so can be drunk daily or when they are poorly. Here are some more:
Carrot & Apple:
3 organic carrots
3 organic eating apples
Melon & Raspberry:
1/2 cantaloupe melon
1 punnet of raspberries
Blueberry & Apple:
3 organic eating apples
1 punnet of blueberries (you can use blackcurrants too)
These are best served straight away to keep their nutritional properties, hope you enjoy!
